1. Scope

This accessibility statement applies to the website mekyn.com including all subdomains as well as the mekyn Site Generator (available at mekyn.com/app/generator). It covers all publicly accessible pages and features provided from these domains.

2. Conformity

This website is fully conformant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Version 2.1, Level AA and with the European standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021) for accessibility requirements of ICT products and services.

This conformity extends to all requirements for websites specified in EU Regulation 2021/1328 under the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG), which has been in force in the Federal Republic of Germany since 28 June 2025.

3. Preparation of this Statement

This statement was prepared on 17 May 2026 and is based on a combination of automated and manual testing methods:

• Automated tests: axe-core (Deque Systems) against the entire sitemap, integrated into the build pipeline (npm run a11y). Every build is checked for accessibility violations before deployment.
• Lighthouse audits: Mobile and desktop with a focus on the Accessibility score (target: 100/100), integrated into the CI pipeline.
• Manual review: Keyboard navigation (Tab, Enter, Esc) of all interactive elements, screen reader tests with NVDA (Windows) and VoiceOver (macOS), verification of focus indicators and colour contrast ratios according to WCAG 2.1 AA.
• External validation: Review by DIAS GmbH as an independent accessibility testing body.

4. Known Non-Conformities

At the time of the last update (17 May 2026), no non-conformities are known. The website fully meets all requirements of WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
